Okay I need some opinions on how much you believe my guitar to be worth. I have a 1956 or 1963 duo sonic I believe thats original except for the tuners and some screws in the pick guard, I think everything else is. The original tuners were falling apart. Anyway I would like to sell this guitar. The neck date is May 63a and the neck plate serial number says 1956... I need help finding out more about this.

I'll break the news quick, like a removing Band-Aid: your Duo-Sonic is far from original.

-The original tuners are gone
-The pickguard is either swapped or stripped or of its original gold coat
-Is that two toggle switches at the bottom horn?
-The headstock decal has been stripped and a new one has been applied
-The Desert Sand body finish has been stripped
-Tone knobs are gone
-Not a complete deal breaker but the ash tray is gone

Really the only thing the guitar has going for it is if the pups are still original, in which case I would value the guitar (generously) at $600.
