No bias here *cough* but of course they should bring back the jag-stang! :D Like some of you I would like to see some revisions to it. Primarily an alder contoured body, straight humbucker in the bridge position and new colors like Daphe Blue.

And with the '65 Mustang in production how hard would it be to crank out a few new and improved jag-stangs! 8)

No offence, but thats like saying "I don't like SRV, so I hate Strats".

Except I don't know anyone who dislikes SRV =].

I think they should...I've always liked Mustangs and Cyclones, and as people have said, Fender are doing a good job revamping some of their other models, so why not the Jag Stang? It would be cool.

Bring it back. I'd get one. Fixes or not. Maybe add a few colors. Defentley from what I read, make the pickups hotter.

Personally, I like the angled HB. The Jag-Stang is the only production guitar I know of that has one other than the EVH Frankenstein replica. Also, if you line up the poles above and below each string, you don't have any drop off when you make bends. I just don't see why so many people are against the angled HB.

My problem with it is all the treble loss. Humbuckers alone are usually to muddy for me, but when it's angled the poles won't line up and it's way too bassy. I guess it's all taste, but for me I need the brights.

ya know, after reading the comments i think fender should have kept cyclone production going, at least another year. it was basically a jag-stang with all the flaws fixed. what if fender put all the cyclone specs on a jag- stang? i think that'd be cool (ie cyclone II on jag stang or hh on jagstang)

It would be nice to see any improvements or alternate configs/models, the biggest obsticle in doing all that is that Fender can't really do anything to the model w/o first getting consent from the Cobain Estate. The Jag-Stang name/styling is as much property of Cobain as it is Fender's. Because his name was attached to the designing of it, he was put as one of the owners of the copyright. So if you guys are truly serious about seeing something done to the Jag-Stang, you can always get on Courtney Love's forum and bombard her w/ requests to do so.

Lol, u guys opposed to the design look as if they're gonna make you buy it if they revive it. I'd love to see one with all these mods u guys r talking about, I thought they were already on, lol. Oh well, a brand new '08 Jagstang would really work if they really advertized it well. Many Fender fans don't know it exists lol, and people would probably get it just to be funny and different. Give it some punch and attitude and I think it could seriously work.

And I have now converted to Cyclonism. Too bad they'r gone now. Bringum back the year after the new 'Stang in electron blue and I might just buy it!

OH YEAH! I'm gonna post a question regarding a jagstang bass, so be sure to post!. :D
