Yeah, Fender is doing an excellent jog of upgrading some of their models so why not bring back a couple that have been discontinued and bring them up to date so to speak.

The whole problem with it now is that they are using a design that was not complete. Someone still needs to add finishing touches that will make it a better playing and sounding instrument.

What makes you think that the design was incomplete?

I'm not a Nirvana/Kurt fan and I've always thought the guitar was a a bit on the ugly side

I've got others, but my J-S will always be my favorite guitar. Mine is a Sonic Blue purchased new in April '97. Very early on, I replaced the original humbucker (which sounded pretty good, actually) with a Pearly Gates. The neck pickup is glassy and clear, very versatile.

I've always loved the fast, short-scale neck and small radius. The hardware is great just the way it is, warts and all! The only upgrade I might like is a choice of PG color (tortoise) and perhaps a more select wood like alder for the body.

When Kurt died he it still in the design process. He wasn't very happy with it and was still working on perfecting it and fixing the things he disliked, but when he died fender decided to take it as it was and put it into production.

I would love to see it come back. I almost bought this guitar off of e-bay, but the seller was in Japan and the shipping was half the cost of the guitar
:(. The guitar was brand new too. I miss that guitar, but hopefully fender brings it back.

The Cyclone is basically a modded Mustang. That's what I'm getting at.
