I'm really interested to get one of these as well ... Buuuuuuuuttt I'm also seriously considering the PRS SE Custom 24. I can get both at a relatively similar price and I KNOW that they are 2 very different guitars but still ... the big diff is really only in the tremolo to me d: I've haven't played the PRS with gain before and I have never touched the Fender but the PRS sounds pretty good to me.

any feedback is appreciated :3

I bought the Japanese version in Candy Apple Red. I got a deal on it because it buzzed something fierce and the string ground didn't work at all. What I ended up doing was to lift the bridge and removed the chrome plating on the bottom of the bridge where the ground wire makes contact. That helped, but did not fix all the issues. I removed the pickguard and went in deeper. What I found was terrible soldering on the slide switch wires. I unsoldered and resoldered all the wires. I also found it to be crackly and staticy when the pickguard face was rubbed while playing. I put a full sheet of stick-on aluminum shielding on the back of the pickguard. I also took advantage of the momement and painted 4 coats of shielding paint in the cavities, making sure to cover the lip of the cavities as well, and I ran a body ground lug and wire, and upgraded the pots to USA made 500K CTS pots, American Jazz Bass knobs (don't need the little knob), and installed a new Switchcraft jack. I verified all my connections and grounds using a meter. Once closed up and restrung, it works as it should. I love the guitar now, but I don't think I should have had to do all that to a brand new guitar. (The Mexican ones comes with shielding paint in the cavities and is supposed to be better quality. But, I would still make sure to do all the other things I did to a Mexican made one.)
