Hi all,

I recently bought a 1977 Fender Precision bass. I noticed on the headstock that nowhere does it actually say "Made in the USA". Is this strange? The serial number checks out as a 1977, and I inspected under the pickguard--the pickups date to 77, the pickguard, the pots, etc.

Were some basses made without this decal?
The serial dates the bass accurately to 77/8.

Thanks for your insight! Let me know if you need more pics...
