I recently purchased a Coronadoii,Wildwoodll edition guitar and would like to know if anyone knows how long they made these guitars,and if you can tell me how to decode Fenders serial number system it would be helpfull.

The Coronado's were still listed in the 1970 catalog but all of them are shown finished in the "Antigua" colors. I'm guess that the Wildwoods were discontinued the previous year. As to deciphering Fender's serial number system, fuggedaboutit. You'll have more luck checking for date stamps on the heel of the neck and the body's neck pocket. Pot codes will also prove helpful.
