Hello there,

I purchased a Fender CD-60CE and I love it! But I noticed the pickguard (black) was all scratched up. I really love how the guitar sounds and the look of the mahagony is wonderful, but the pickguard looks like crap after one session of use.

I need suggestions to get it back to normal. Is this normal? Should I take it back? If not, how do I safely clean it?

Thanks,

jmartinez24

sounds normal to me, that's why it is called a pickguard. is there a plastic removable plastic film on the pickguard? if so, that is meant to be removed, but, the pickguard will still become scratched if you use a pick. :)
