It's really hot here and yesterday I had the pickups out of my CP Jazzmaster while I was doing something else to the guitar. One of the magnets fell off the bridge pickup! (CP pups are more like P-90s than anything else, with a magnet on each side of the polepieces on the bottom of the pup.) It looks like they are just held on with wax but I can't get it to re-adhere no matter what I do. I finally just taped it on (not easy taping to a waxy surface, either!) and made sure the foam beneath was solidly below each end of the magnet and just let the downward pressure against the foam hold it in, but I don't like doing this. I did find another mention of this happening to somebody with a CP JM but if the issue was resolved he never posted about it. :?

I don't see how trying to glue it on would work since the pickups' bobbins are very waxy.

Anybody else ever had this problem and solved it?
