I think they should remake the duo sonic but none of that Squier crap. Made in the good ole' USA! The way I feel it should be made. Does anyone else feel this way?

I had a 1958 one which I bought for $75 with OEM cardboard case back in 1971. I had it for maybe a month or two and it really was a fun guitar. I played one gig with it where at this gig, there was another band. That band's guitarist asked me if I wanted to sell it. As a lark, I told him, $200. He immediately whipped out the cash and I immediately handed over the guitar. FWIW, that was the first time I ever saw a $100 bill, let alone two of them. Do I regret it now? Honestly, I can't say as I do for that's exactly what it cost me (back then) to buy a 1962 Fiesta Red Strat with HS case with. THIS, I regret selling now!

I have a squier duo sonic, and it is actually really high quality! It was the classic vibe series. I have been playing it for almost 5 years now, and I have to say, it is the best squier I have ever played.

During the 1990s Fender did a MIM Duo-Sonic which sported a solid hardwood body and an 22.7" scale, 20-fret maple neck. This model was introduced in 1993 and discontinued 4 years later.

I doubt Fender can produce a a reissue in the USA that would be affordable, much less suited for a beginner (like the originals were). If Fender wanted to make them in USA, where could the cut corners? Likely the wood, and especially the finish. Also, due to the fact it wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as a Strat or Tele, it would probably cost more than one of those! The MIM Mustangs cost as much as a AM Std Strat or tele LOL.....I can only imagine they would price the Musicmaster Reissue at $1500 if they even would make it in USA. :(
