That's pretty messed up! I would try to make one; check local hobby shops where REAL HARD CORE military air plane modellers hang out. Maybe those guys can help you; you could do a web search on making you're own; but if it's an authentic one you're after I think you're SOL.
I seem to remember reading about making decals in fine scale modeler or some other like magazine.
I would like to know what kind of pickups came on it. Are the Precision Bass? There's video of johnny winter paying one at woodstock you can access from a ad selling those 12 strings on ebay for 75,000 yeah that's right 75,000!

There are companies that make decals for piano refinishers.... talk to Fender; maybe they can give you a permission letter to have their trade mark copied for this one time thing but I would imagine they would want to look at you axe to confirm it's authenticity first.

Most quality inkjet printers will print on standard decal paper. The limitations are the metallic inks used for the Fender logo. Orange is also sometimes problematic as the software protocols usually dictate a "zip-tone" like shade made by superimposing red-pigmented dots over a yellow background. Likewise, no conventional inkjet printer will print white (if the image requires it). In those instances, an ALPS or ALPS II printer is needed. I've had numberous custom decals for scale model aircraft projects printed on an ALPS printer. If the master artwork is of suffcient quality most home-made decals can rival the traditional silk-screened variety purchased at a store.

Could you please supply a link where I can see an Electric XII advertised for $75,000 as the highest value put on them by the experts who publish the Vintage Guitar Price Guide is just over $6000 and that's for a mint condition model in a rare custom colour. 75 grand for an Electric XII is way out of whack even if it was the one that Johnny played himself.

Indeed.

The going price for such instruments is generally between $3500 and $4500 on Ebay.
