As a huge jag fanatic myself, seeing the new johnny marr and thinline models I intend to bring back home to accompany my original ’62 and ’66 jaguars along with my brand new jaguar squier bass, I dream of laying my hands on brand new Baritone VI, XII and Coronado models…for under 2Ks please!!??
How about it?

There's currently a Fender Japan Bass VI. Can be imported for less than $2000.

Am I allowed to say that on this forum?

I think the reason fender stopped with the coronado and the starcaster because gibson totally dominated the market. Ive also seen a lot of videos where the people demoing the Fender coronado and starcaster and they hate on them and call them "bad" sounding. Personally, i think they do not have the tone of a gibson es 335 but it is not a "bad" tone. The guitarrist from the killers has a starcaster that he plays on mr brightside and i think its still a good tone. Different but good. I think if Fender were to release some reissues of the semi hollows of the late 60s, they would do really well. expecially since the vintage market is out of reach for most musicians and it seems that people are looking for alternatives to the stratocater/les paul guitars. Come on fender i would buy one :D (a coronado or starcaster)

Well being a college student and not having much money i understand. What i did to get my hands on a XII is called a garage sale. Look around on craigslist or ebay most the time the poor guy doesn't realize what it is or how much the value actually is. Yea, its dirty but it works.
