Hello All,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to get a Marauder pickguard in black. I think it would look really cool to put a black pickguard on a black Marauder.

there are a number of places that'll custom cut one for you, providing you give them a good tracing. It'll be around the same price as these pre-cut replacements for all other guitars.

Pickguards are fairly simple to make if you buy the material from Ebay - just use the original one for a template and cut it out using a fine bladed saw (or drill small holes along the outline about 1/4 " outside the pickguard) and finish off with a sanding disc. I have done quite a few - it is time consuming but worth it. Alternatively (as suggested) you could try the Ebay sellers of the scratchplate material who provide a service if you send a paper template. I don't think Marauders are so numerous that it is worth a manufacturer making them in any quantity

You'll have to make one custom made, for sure. If the Marauder is a sales success, expect for aftermarket parts to be made for it. If Fender doesn't sell a lot of them, then don't expect it.

Personally, there's nothing on my Marauder that I would change, except for either a second tone knob or a mod that bypasses the tone knob on the bridge pickup.

Hi here,
don't know if you found a black pickguard yet (or got one made) but WD music have just started doing them.

Might get ne myself as I'm not that into the aged pearl pickguard. Will probably go for a white/black/white one or pure white pearloid to go with my white pickups...

cheers
