That guitar should have an age restriction on it.

Kinda reminds me of the old '68 LeMans Blue Camaro with the white racing stripe. :)

Hi Chip!

I cut my teeth on these puppies in the 60's. Depending on the strings being used, and the style of music being played, the Mastery Bridge really isn't needed. To each his own, but the Mastery Bridge does not allow the precision adjustments that I have grown used to over the years.

If I was building one from parts, I would consider a modified Mustang bridge or a Mastery, but for now, I'm very, very happy with the bridge I have. :)

Thanks for the suggestion though.

For any of those who might have been wondering, the 50th anniversary model comes with the Vintage style Trem. NOT the one with the screw-in arm that the Classic Player comes with. No little springs to loose.

Fair enough but if you were looking for precision, why'd you buy a Jag?!

Not going to get into that argument. Some people understand the Jag bridge and make it work for them. Some don't.

Oh you're one of those.

Funny how guitars are one of the few things that people will actually defend for lousy design. Imagine if the alignment went out on your car if you accelerated too quickly or jerked the steering wheel. There'd be recalls all over the place!

Not trying to start something, glad you are enjoying your guitar. Just a bit of friendly ribbing.

Understood. But I grew up with Leo's strangely designed bridge and after I got rid of my Teisco Del Ray, Jags and Jazzy's were what I played. Should have hung on to the old Teisco as it is a collectors item now. But then again, so is the old Jag that I sold when I went in the Service. It works well for me.

How would that look with a red tortoise shell pick guard on it? Pretty awesome especially with the bound neck and block inlays. Delicious.
