I have a used 1960's Coronado II, dark tobacco burst color.
In the past, I have seen it going for over $ 1500.00. Is this guitar still a hot item for collector's to consider buying, or is this not the case any more??
I am just curious ?
I know the vintage strats, tele's, etc. will always be a HOT item, but what about some other models.... like this one ?

Yeah I think so. There weren't as many of those made as there were strats or teles.

Let's say they are lukewarm because the demand is low

I had a '68 red Coronado II. Very pretty. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore, but I recall it being a terrific guitar, with great tone. I became more of a Tele player, but I'd like to add a semi-hollow to my collection.
Sure would like to see Fender offer something like my old Cherry-red
Coronado. I was looking at the Dearmond Starfire, but soon as I saw them, they were discontinued! Bummer. And how about Guild? There don't seem to be anymore Guild electrics being offered. What's up with that?
That's sad, for sure.

I'd like to see the Guild Bluesbird come back. I think Fender needs some kind of semi-hollow offering. I've been pushing for the return of the Esprit. It was discontinued when CBS sold the company and the recent Squier version had quality issues.

Fender came out with the reissued Princeton Reverb amp because of demand and high prices for the vintage models. The last Esprit I saw hanging in a store had a $4,000 price tag. Hmmm.
