Alright. Let me start off by saying a couple things first:
A: I am not a Jazzmaster enthusiast or elitist. I just think they look cool.
B: I am a total noob and have never modded a guitar before.
C: Please take it easy on me, I might cry :P jk

Alrighty now then:
I currently have a fender blacktop Jazzmaster. I bought this guitar thinking it would make a great platform for a mod. It has a decent body and a decent neck and I bought it used for 350$ can't beat that.

Now then, here's what I want to do.
Install a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker into the bridge slot
Install Seymour Duncan SJM-3 quarter pound p-90 into the neck slot.

I play in a grungy indie rock band. I am the rhythm guitarist. I would mostly like suggestions from other people about other mods I should think about doing to this guitar?

I want to be able to lay down some thick, overdriven rhythm while also having a fat sounding p90 in my neck slot. I love the way a single coil and humbucker sound together. Any suggestions?
