Hey everyone,
I recently got a modern player jaguar (about a month ago) and it is seriously one of the best sounding guitars I have. But, when I tried to play it last night, it was completely silent! I know it's not the amp or cable because I played my other guitar through it since then. I didn't notice any wiring problems, however it was sort of difficult to see. Is it possible that both pickups died, or that the output jack needs replaced? I'm super bummed out about this.

On some jags, the switch on the upper horn is a total kill switch. and, the switches on the lower horn turn pups on and off individually. Toggle the upper kill switch and see if you don't get sound.

The MP Jag doesn't have all the switches, so it's not the kill switch because there isn't one. Just a tone and a volume and a pickup switch, IIRC.

Could it be possible that there is a short? Or is it more likely that the output jack or volume pot is bad? Is there a way to test these?
