Will the "Squire classic vibe Mustang" make it to U.S. shores?

possibly never...The Japanese get some really cool guitars built, but if they show up on theBay, they're outrageously priced!

They are still Chinese made so I don't think the normal MIJ/CIJ rules will apply. I guess time will tell. If Fender has a brain in their collective heads, they'll bring these to NA. I know there are a lot of folks (me included) who'd snap one up.

I'd buy one of these. They would need to price them at $299 or less. The Mustang was originally a student/low priced/value guitar and the $800 Pawn Shop Mustangs (not even real Mustangs) counter the original intention for the Mustang. The Cyclone is a good alternative, but I can't stand the fact that one pickup is slanted and the other is straight. The only guitars that can get away with the slanted/straight pickup setup are the Tele and the Strat.

I don't think Fender would release a Squire Classic Vibe Mustang. I could see Fender releasing a modern day Mustang Standard that would still be Made In China. Most likely sell it at around $499 and discontinue the exporting from Japan. I don't think that would be a bad idea.
