I just bought a Jaguar HH that will come in the mail soon ...... I hope. I've looked for teck specs along with anything else so I'll know what all the switchs do. So far I've found nothing yet.

I have fallowed another member's link only to find just the basic wright up found in the catlog.

Are any Fender Employees able to shine a light on this subject. I'm sure from reading a couple of threads that there are a few of us who could use this info.

Thanks ahead

I am assuming that you are referring to a HH Special. The switch plate on the upper horn has the rhythm circuit volume and tone controls and the main switch between the rhythm and lead circuits. The lower switch plate (three switches) controls the pickup selection and a tone filter for the lead circuit. Starting from the switch closest to the neck: Neck pickup up is on down is off, bridge pickup up on down off, tone filter up on down off (this just adds another cap to the ton circuit). The standard volume and tone knobs are for the lead circuit. Hope this helps. It is a great guitar I just modified mine with 500k pots (lead circuit), orange drop cap and a duncan custom custom in the bridge. It really brought the guitar to life.

It depends on the particular version. On my standard player hh, the upper horn switch is a kill switch and the two upper pots are tapped to the split coil pups so you can dial in hh/single pole blend for each pup. Bottom pots are tone volume for both pups and lower switchers are on off for neck/bridge pup and a tone filter.

Hi Gent's :)

The "Specal Edition Jaguar HH" is the model I have on order and hope to have by the end of the week,
I recall sliding one of the switches on the upper panal of an older Jag seemed to boost the distorishion do to the huge gane spike.

Thanks for your help, it should help when I've got my new beasty in my grubby paws. Tho I'm still confused. This ax is living up to its name, knowing Jaguar's are secretive animals.

Anymore info surely would be very helpfull.
Thank you Gentmen
A rathere confused engteckzilla

Got my Jaguar HH Specal a few days ago and realy love it. The Nut With is 1/16 thinner than my 2010 Stratocaster HSS Specals neck. Making a rather playable guitar for me.

I did find some tech drawings on this site after wrighting about strings & Tech things.

Thanks for the help Gents

Actually, back when I got my Classic Player Jaguar, I emailed customer service with my serial number and they sent the date of manufacture (month and year) and the updated wiring diagram (pdf files.) consumerrelations@fender.com

Good advice, these were shipped with my mim classic player hh, but there are so many variations in wiring according to model, it's really necessary to drill down to the individual model/release. Of course, you can also just play around; this is the best since you'll figure it out and really get it under your fingers. Jag releases have a lot of weird and unique wiring options.

Everybody has to develop their own tone. Just find the spot that's "sweet" for you.

I think I'm beging to like my Jaguar HH Specal more than my American Specal Stratocaster HSS. Its like being 15 yr.s old at Disneland with one chick on each arm ...... and yes that happened to me. I seem to like the 24" scale better than the 25.5"scale because I have small hands. And the nut with is just a 1/16" thiner than my strat.

Thanks for all the imput Gent's, I'm just a beginer but I do know alot about audio enginering and instrements. Lifes to short for junk guitars!

My Japanese Jaguar seems to have been made in eather in 2010 or 2011 by the serial numbers I've traced down so far. I've e-mailed and asked for a regstration card and information from Fender.
The Gent's at GC told me I could regster my ax on this website but haven't found that so far.
It seems that the Jaguar guitar is gaining populatry and theres a wide range of wiring and production factories around the globe making slightly different changes in there own countrys.
Just like the animal the Jaguar guitar is a bit elusive and some what different in each jungle it comes from.
Thanks for all the input and any more I (and likely others too) shurly would be greatfull to learn.
Rock on!
