I used to have a '73 Mustang & traded her in years ago for a beat up '72 Telly I'm interested in getting another. With the Classic series '65 Mustang what wood is the body made of & is it made in the USA? Thanks in advance.

Yes, go vintage! The Classic Series Mustangs are way over-priced! For just a couple hundred more than these you can buy a real US made Mustang, and probably with it's hardshell case too! Not that there's anything fundamentally wrong with the newer Mustang's, I'm sure they are fine little guitars, but, they were designed to be "entry level" student guitars.....and now the reissues cost as much as a new American Standard Strat or Tele? And they cost more than the Classic Series Strats and Teles? What a joke! I think the new Mustang would be priced right at $500 - $550.
