one of my next projects is either a jaguar or a jazzmaster.... my original idea was to make a jaguar from warmoth parts BUT they do not make the jaguar body in lefty...(wtf) so im in a debate... i can build a jazzmaster pretty easily.... BUT i want the jaguar electronics... so i may build a 25.5 scale jaguar...(jazz-guar).

i have never played a 24 scale, but i love the gibson scale (24.75). so im tempted to make the guitar a gibson scale....

many will pipe in and tell me that i can just get the 24 scale neck and put it on the jazzmaster body, but then intonation will be WAY off..(distance from bridge tio 12th fret will be wrong distance...).... so it looks like im going to start researching how to make the jaquar crome peices and all the switches fit into (and making sure that they will look okay being retrofitted into the jazzmaster pick guard since it is a different orientation than the jag)

i havent fully settled on the body color or wood yet but the neck will be a block inlayed and bound rosewood (possibly ebony) with the modern c shape and the same radius as my 99 usa tele..

my big debate----- it wont be the easiest to make the crome switch plates fit on the the jazz pickguard and since i havent personally played either guitar---- maybe i will preffer the soap bars.

big debate part 2.....
since 24 scale is almost impossible to find in lefty, what happens if i do play one and love the shorter scale? i cant find a reputable company that makes a jefty jag body... theoritically i could use the jazzmaster body but the bridge would have to be remounted an estmated 1/4 of an inch closer to the neck joint............stupid warmoth..... i preffer 9-42s on my fenders and my gibsons so i am assuming 10-46s will give me the action and low tension i preffer BUT since the strings will be bigger on a smaller scale- will i feel like i am playing on big cables?
