I recently purchased a great Fender Toronado for a heck of a deal. The only problem is that it has pretty significant 60 cycle hum. I have checked all the grounding points on the humbuckers, the back of the pots, and the outside of the input jack to ensure continuity to the 2 grounding points. ( one the bridge and the other inside the pots compartment) I am running out of ideas.

Any help?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome.

The "heck of a deal" part immediately makes me suspicious. Notwithstanding and of course, sight unseen and premising you are thoroughly satisfied with your above findings:

Can house wiring and/or the amp be a factor?

Ensure that the positive and negative wires at the output jack coming from the toggle switch aren't reversed; same with the pickups' leads to the back of their respective volume pots.

Ensure that there are no stray positive wires touching anything having to do with the negative and vice versa.

Lastly, the only thing left is that there is something amiss with the linking of one or both of the pickup coils.

If none of the above solves your problem, posting clear pictures of your wiring may help us help you.

So I ended up doing a few things , and I it cleared up 95% of the hum.. Not sure what actually did the trick though. It still humms a bit, but not as bad as a strat so I will take it!

I removed the bridge, stripped off more of the wire and actually wrapped the grounding wire around one of the screws

I basically re-soldered all of the connections, adding a little more solder to each connection.

I also trimmed off extra wire that were left on a couple connections..

Doing all these things seemed to clean it up! I love my new $200 guitar!

All's well that ends well!
