Hi, I'm Dennis.

I bought this off of my friend for $30.00. I tried looking it up via the serial number and didn't turn up anything. I'm guessing it is a knock off/replica.

The inside reads ''Model: Telecoustic. S/N: KA00033394.'' If anyone needs to know the words in between the model and serial number, let me know and I'll type that up.

I know it is in rough shape, that's how I received it. I'm just looking to learn more about it if possible. I apologize if the pictures are a little too big. Thanks so much ahead of time!Image

It's made in accordance to specifications of Fender.
It says it all.
Some were made in Korea, most were made in China with the according qualities.

Thanks buddy. Is it a decent guitar to play? I'm interested in fixing it up and jamming, I just don't want to throw too much money into a tame guitar, you know? I thought $30.00 was a solid deal, I'm just not sure. I'm pretty much clueless on guitars. :D

You won't find too many fans of their Telecoustic or Stratocoustic. There is nothing inherently wrong with them, there is just nothing inherently right about them either

I bought one of these for $299 when they first came out and I was playing a lot of solo gigs. It spends most of its time in a gig bag these days as I mostly play either an Ovation E/A or an electric. I tried it with acoustic strings and I tried with with electric strings, ended up putting the bronze acoustic strings back on, lightest set I could fine. Not a bad guitar, but definitely an oddity.

Our guitarist owned one of these that he played for a couple years, he jumped on the wagon and bought it brand new when they first came out.

He put Elixir acoustic strings on it and used it plugged in to the PA, with enough gear fiddling and adjusting we got it to sound pretty good live. But just sitting around and playing acoustically it sounded like complete garbage, no sustain, very tinny and empty. He now uses a Crafter knockoff or a Taylor for live acoustic stuff.

For $30 I'd say you got a pretty good deal, just realize the strength that exists on these is plugged in to a sound system, not really designed for good sound around a campfire.
