I had a 1970 in tan. True to it being a Ford, it was constantly in the shop.

I always thought the '70 Cyclone was cool!

I have a Fender Cyclone. I like it. Kinda like a Fender Mustang with a little more punch. Get one if you can find one!

I don't see it on the products page. Can you provide a link? That would make a good couch guitar for the price.

Searched again and found them at Musician's Friend. They wont ship until mid December, but went ahead and ordered the Lake Placid blue as pictured. Now I won't have to drool over cyclones on ebay that are way out of my price range.

Thanks!

By the way these have been out of production since 2006.

I'm selling a graffiti yellow Cyclone, but I'm from Birmingham in England!

The guitar has had a complete professional refurbishment, including setup and a resolder.

£450 if anyone's interested!

yupp that one... sure was! lol.

btw the squier cyclones are awesome, but I like all of the unique colors that the Fender ones came in like orange, yellow, and the gold one looks sweet too!! Squier should make unique colors. I love "odd ball" Fenders that are a bit strange looking in the cool colors and design! I've been eyeballing a "MG" japan mustang on ebay and stuff in that orange color for a long time..... i haven't been able to get one it seems like I find other ways to spend my money all the time... I wish I had more.... Anyone wanna donate to the "Get Jake more money for guitars and gear fund?" LOL HAHA. $$$$ BING!!!

The graffitti yellow and the orange are my favorite colors for the cyclones too. I watched the orange auction just for fun as it started out of my price range. I wouldn't feel bad losing that one, because even though he paid ten dollars over your max bid his max bid could've been $1000.00. Better luck next time. Maybe with new sales of the Squire cyclones the prices will eventually come back down on used mims. :?:

Shielding added to pickguard:

Over all a great little guitar for the money. You can see for yourself what's good and bad. I plan to add another coat of shielding paint to the internal cavities the next time I change strings. It's great though because you usually don't see, the less expensive guitars, coming from the factory with shielding. Weird that they took the time to shield the cavities with paint, but only shielded under the switch on the pickguard. The neck is nice and straight and was nearly flat comig from the factory, although I did crank the truss rod about a 1/4 turn to get it perfect. My only complaint so far is that when the tremolo is floated with the back 1/8" off the deck the backplate/tremolo cover holes don't line up with the holes in the tremolo block. (I will mention that when the guitar arrived the back/rear of the tremolo was resting on the deck of the guitar and the holes matched up.) This just means that the plate will need to be removed for future string changes. Not to big of a deal, but it does bug me. I only played it for about 30minutes before disassembly, but I like what I heard coming through my amp. Go try one out and decide for yourself! :D

Nice LPB Cyclone!

I noticed Squier went to a routing more similar to the original Cyclones. I picked up the Sunburst and the Surf Green Cyclones and love the sound/feel.
Picked up a black one and a cobalt blue one off ebay last year and will be modding them similar to the setup on my 98 black Cyclone.
I mounted two VN singlecoils in the 98. I wanted to hear how the American Cyclone would sound. I am quite happy with the setup. Next will be a pair of Custom Shop Fat 50's (using the rwrp in the neck position) in the original black Squier. Leaving the 2000 Red cyclone stock. great tones out of it.

Had to limit my g.a.s. for the Cyclones to 8. Those six plus two of the II's, running out of room.
