Hey all,

I'm looking into buying a Jazzmaster, a classic player that I can upgrade. I'm a fan of the phase switching on the Mustang, but the sound and feel of the Jazzmaster really have a hold on me - I would just get a Jaguar, but I prefer the pickups of the Jazzmaster...

I'm articulate at reading wiring diagrams and rewiring guitars, but to design a wiring scheme is out of my grasp as of yet. If someone can do a paint diagram of a what I want, I would really appreciate it.

So basically, the top-horn switch of the Jazzmaster is silly to me; that needs to go. I like the placement of the controls there however, so what I'm thinking is, if you remove these controls, the guitar will be the same configuration as a Telecaster. All I want then, is for 2 small switches to go where the segregated neck controls were; one 2-position (IN/OUT) phase inverter for the neck pickup, and another for the bridge. That way, I can still just use the 3-way toggle.

If someone is able to make up and clearly label the schematics, I'll get the parts outlined and take a few hours to sit down and mod the guitar. The idea is to have a great live guitar, with power from the Jazzmaster pickups, and the ability to take it down a notch or combine tones with the phase switches.

Thanks!
