Check out Bob Colosi, he is an artist with nuts, saddles and bridge pins.

Give him a call, won't cost anything to see what he can do...

I can understand not wanting a high dollar custom but rather just a replacement. I had the same issue with my Fender CD280S Acoustic. I sent Bob the factory nut, he duplicated it in bone for $25. If you sent him the pieces he should still be able to duplicate it. He does make them just a tad oversize so that there is minor sanding involved to make sure you get a good fit but should be nothing like you are experiencing with the generic Fender nut you are endlessly sanding on now.

At least give Bob a call and see what your options are, he is a great guy to deal with...

You aren't out anything by just calling...

Actually, the original nut was totally destroyed. Some dumb#!@$ glued it in their really nicely. It took 3 screw drivers, a drill, a saw.... you get my point. I used everything to get the nut out, but when it came out it came out in pieces. My only problem now is getting one... just straight up getting one. I'm going to let a guitar tech deal with it that I know as I also need to completely rewire a jaguar, but that's a whole different story. If nothing works I'll take your advice. My point was I really have nothing to go by since I don't have the original and all. This really suxxxx!! -Jake

Still might be worth talking to Bob. If he has done a Sonoran nut before he will likely have a pattern that he can go by.

Hope it all works out...
