I have a jaguar special edition HH, at the base of the neck it says "made in japan" and the serial number is T with six numbers witch dates it '94-'95. is that correct? I thought they were only made in the 2000's and crafted in japan?????

Basically the serial number doesn't mean anything on those, and nobody seems to know the answer as that same question has come up many times but never been answered definitively.
They started to make them in i think 2006 so it's after then, i know mine is less than 2 years but the serial number comes out as a 94/95.
But they are defo made in Japan not crafted, unless it's all a big lie.

actually, If I'm correct, sometime in the early '90's they used to say "MADE IN JAPAN" but switched to "CRAFTED IN JAPAN" in hopes to sound a bit more dignified. I have a '66 reissue Jazzmaster that reads "CRAFTED IN JAPAN" and that is from 1994.

they changed it in '97 because they ran out of letters to put after "made in japan".
but still the serial numbers make no sense, and i checked, they started this model in 2005, which should have been a "Crafted In Japan" with the letter R.
