I have a Fender Jaguar HH Blacktop and was wondering if anybody swapped out the stock pickups for SD P rails. I don't particularly like the tone of the stock pick ups and I heard lot of good things about the p Rails especially with triple shot switching. If yes, I would like some opinions on switching stock pickups with P rails. Thanks!

I put in seymour duncan jazz humbucker in the neck and JB in the bridge. I really like the change from stock. The stock neck pickup was muddy sounding to me.

thanks, will look into the pickups you used. Was it hard to swap them out? Did you
do it yourself?

Had the tech do a set up and switch out the pickups and it took him about an hour.

I talked to a guy who replaced his front pickup with a P-Rail (he doesn't use a back pickup) he said he really likes it and its loud. Like louder than normal humbuckers. And the p-90 mode is pretty cool because p-90s sound awesome. He also plays in a small touring band. If that means anything to you then at least you know it's road worthy and of professional quality.

I've heard they fit into the humbucker holes no problem but I'm not 100% sure of that.

I'm trying to do the exact same thing in the exact same guitar! I'm with you... The stock pickups sound to muffled to me. I have some texas specials in my american strat and I love the way they sound. I know I can't get the humbuckers to sound the same way, but I'd like something I little bit clearer so that I can articulate passages a bit better. I dig a bunch of blues with a tad of distortion (just enough where it is still clear). Any suggestions would be appreciated as well... I'm new to humbuckers.
