I have a 15 yr. old daughter & she knows how to play the guitar & really loves to have one. The problem is I don't know what type of guitar is ideal for her right now that she's only beginning. Any advice would be appreciated.

Can't go wrong with a Fender Telecaster. They are played by rock, country and other musicians. There are different price levels of the guitar too. Take her to a music store and wail away!

Grab a Strat Pak from Best Buy or your local GC. They're a lot of bang-for-buck and relatively inexpensive.

+1

I picked one up to try at a Costco and was impressed by it myself. For a 15yr old it should do the trick. And if she decides guitar isn't what she likes at a later time, you haven't lost a lot of money.
AS she develops her skills then you can look at the next level of guitars by Fender or any manufacturer. They all have different price points.

stratocaster is ideal for your daughter, but if your daughter want to show her skill to her friend I think telecaster, because some lady guitar's use the telecaster. yeah because they look sweet. ahaha lol
