if i do it i will probably use a tune-o-matic bridge with a string-thru body, and PAF pickups.

Take a look at Warmoth bodies in that case. USACG may also offer a JM body with custom routing options.

ill be cutting and routing my own body. debating between floyd rose and TOM. either using a pair of PAFs with a 3 way toggle or an EMG 85 bridge and 2 emg mini 60s with a 5 way blade. ill probably make a quilt top mahogany body and vener the headstock to match. or just paint the body white with a brown pickguard and natural headstock. dunno yet.

definitely going with the 25.5 scale though.

i also considered using a 24 fret ESP reverse M neck i have and calling it a "rockmaster" or something.

ideas welcome!

can i use a strat neck since its the same scale?

AFAIK a Strat neck is a viable option for a JM.

since strat necks litter the earth, ill probably just get one and put a JM decal on it. i do have access to a laser engraver. i may do the fender annd jazzmaster logos with that.

i may use a schaler roller bridge and a LSR nut.

how much will the note change? im assuming it wont dive bomb like a vintage or floyd.

my guess is that the roller bridge and lsr nut would help maintain your tuning a lot i say go for it... you're going with the jazzmaster trem right?

i like to have a trem at hand it always helps to have a variety of sounds... the jazzmaster trem in specific is considered pretty easy to setup i hear people speak badly about the trem but most of the people love the trem the bridge is normally the main problem... i'd go with the trem personally
