i just got a Squier Jaguar HH in fiesta red and i absolutely love the guitar. i've put in 2 toggle switches so i can coil tap and the only other mod i would like to do is modify it to fit the floating tremolo like on the higher dollar, Fender model Jaguars. i know there is some pretty extensive routing involved, but other than that i dont know. i have a medium sized milling machine in my motorcycle shop so i can either use that or the plunge router base with my dremel tool if i cant safelt secure the guitar body to the milling table without damage. has anyone here ever done this kind of mod? is that floating tremolo even availble from either Fender or an aftermarket company. i know i can just buy a guitar with the tremolo on it but i really like the sound and feel of this one, it is in fact my favorite from my collection, i like it even more than my mexican made 1972 Thinline re-issue. i am mechanically inclined so i'm not some novice getting ready to hack into a perfectly good guitar with no knowledge at all. if it is possible and has been done please let me know.

I surely wouldn't risk bastardizing an instrument in such a manner but since you seem so insistently energetic......

Best of luck, HTH

Thats a whole lot of work for absolutely nil return.

The Jazzmaster bridge is such a turkey, that owners get worried at xmas..
