Hello all,
Just bought a Classic Player Jaguar Special HH. Not sure what I think of it at the mo, partly because I'm a tiny bit confused over the switching (I thought it was duff until I remembered that one of the switches is a kill switch). I've had a search and found nothing so far, I'm quite surprised that there is not a manual for this guitar. Anyone out there familiar with this guitar that wouldn't mind giving me a rundown of the switches?
Cheers - Vick.

There are two separate circuits; rhythm and lead. The switch on the top selects the rhythm circuit and cuts the lead out when used. This employees the neck pickup only. If the lead position is selected, the bottom bank of three switches controls the lead circuit and both pickups. The "neck" switch controls just the neck pickup. The center switch controls just the bridge pickup. So if both are on, both pickups are being used. The rear, or bridge, switch is a filter. Most people leave it in the off (down) position to get a slightly more full sound.

Hope this helps.

The Classic Player HH has different switching from any other jag.

the top plate: the slide is a cut out switch, the two rollers are coil splitters/blenders. when rolled all the way towards the bridge, make both humbuckers, single coils, when rolled all the way towards the neck, full humbuckers. anywhere in between is a blend.

bottom plate: switch closest to the neck is the neck pickup on/off switch, the 2nd switch is for the bridge pickup, and the one closest to the bridge is a low-cut switch.

tone and volume i think are pretty much self explanatory.

hope this helps

whoa thats cool Cadi, i didn't know that they had changed it to blend pots for the HH!!
How do you like that feature? I had thought of doing that on one of my guitars if i switched the pups, but never had the money or time...

Hey Just Bought my Jaguar HH Special Edition about a week ago, & I absolutely love the tonal options that this switching configuration gives. I gave lessons on this guitar for about a year before I bought it, ( I work in a music store) and I think that it says alot that of all the American Strats, the American Teles, Les Pauls, SG's or any other guitar on our 250+ guitar wall, I saw this one, loved the way it looked, played it & immediately fell in love with the switching array.

Sklivas, i like the blending, its part of why i bought this guitar, wanted humbers, but i also wanted single coil tone. all great sounds, in one guitar :) the blending is nice, i usually go for about 1.5 coils worth of sound (blend half way)
