I have a Fender Special Edition Jaguar HH guitar made in Japan. The truss rod adjustment is at the top of the neck and it has 2 hex nuts on top of each other instead of the usual one.The lower one is a 4.5 mm and the top one a 5 mm nut. They can both be turned independently. I've never seen this before on a guitar. Can someone explain why this guitar has this setup? Also, the most neck relief I can get is .004mm . It will adjust to less relief but not more. It's not a problem because I can get the string height at the 12th fret to 5/64 on the low e and 4/64 on the high e with out any string buzz. I've never been able to set the relief so low on any of my American Fender Strats without getting any string buzz at that string height. So that says something for the neck on this guitar. Anyone else have this guitar with a similar situation? OR is there something wrong with this guitar.

After closer inspection I've discovered there's only one nut after all. What happened was the truss rod adjustment nut is so well cut and the truss rod adjusts so smoothly that it didn't matter if I used a 4.5 mm or a 5 mm allen wrench I could adjust the neck relief. So because I turn adjust the truss rod with either size allen wrench I just assumed there was 2 nuts. So now that I've made a fool of myself I still have on more question about the neck. I still can't loosen the relief to more than .004 mm. That's putting a capo on the first fret, holding down the low e at the last fret and measuring the relief at the 8th fret on the low e. Like I said I can make the relief less than .004 mm just not more. This I've had verified. Because when I couldn't get more relief I took it to a guitar repairman at Guitar center and he couldn't either. His reply as to what I could do was "raise the strings". He didn't even give me time to tell him I was able to adjust the string height to my satisfaction with so little relief. So, anyone have this guitar and how much relief can you get in the neck?
