Ok here's the deal. I've got an early '90's '65 Mustang RI. It has been my main guitar for years, and now I'm taking it apart to give it a really good clean. My problem is that from it being my main guitar and gigging and practice it's received a fair amount of oxidation on the bridge, saddles, and control plate as well as all of the screw tops. I've tried mild abrasives to clean it, but they're not quite doing the trick. Is there any solution that i could soak the parts in for a while and then take the polish to it to restore them, or perhaps another method? Or am I just SOL. I love this guitar, and while it might not be my #1 right now there's plenty of sentimental attachment, and I want it to look its best. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
