Hi all,

I just bought a new Jaguar 62 reissue. The guitar is perfect except the lead pickup (the one close to the bridge) which is not horizontal, it is lower on the bridge side, about 2 mm lower than the other side. The screws allow to adjust the height but not the orientation in that direction.

Do you think this is something that should be fixed or is it tunable ? (Again, the guitar is new and comes from the Fender distribution center)

Any feedback is welcome, thanks
Tom

Did you look in your manual? I think its supposed to be a little bit lower on one side. I'm not really sure though probably someone else can answer that. You might want to contact the dealer you got it thru and ask them to take a look at the gutiar.

I have the side under the heavier strings slightly lower on my old Jag.

You might be able to fix that tilt. Check the springs or tubing on it. Cutting the tubings a bit shorter or turning the springs might help. Good Luck.

Thank you all for your replies.

Yes, I checked the manual and looked at all the Jaguar pictures I could found on the net and it seems that a tilt in that direction is not normal (a tilt tunable with the screws is more expectable). However, it should be adjustable. For that I need to remove the pickguard and I was a little bit reluctant to do it with a new guitar. Anyway, it won't break anything, it's just regrettable that the pickup tilt has not been corrected at the Fender factory.
