Well, I've never owned a Jazz master…….got just about everything else.

Overall…………….i love everything about this guitar except……..(enter ominous trumpet music here)

The Bridge

The Pros -

The Neck - Big fat frets, Maple board, plays smooth and just feels warm. Im pretty sure the black top series are made in Mexico. I've had some absolute piles of inevitable fire wood that were MIM, however my two main Strats are both MIM and I defy anyone who says they are not as good or superior to the MIA ones.

Nice finish on the neck, this may sound petty but a lot of the MIM necks are almost ghost white color, looks terrible, Frets were not sharp.

The Finish - I got the black one, beautiful finish, Im in love with the mint green pick board, just looks nice

The Pups - There is a huge difference when your switching between the Pups………huge.

The single coil Jazz Pup is……….well, a single coil jazz pup lol……like the name says. The Bucker is much much more aggressive, not shrill and defiantly growls.

Its almost as if they are two separate guitars. Unless you spend a lot of time tweaking your amp settings, switching between the pups in mid song could easily ruin a vibe.

That being said in return what you get is diversity……You can use the single coils for Jazz, blues, country…….and the Bucker for metal, grunge and heavy $@!&.

They both sound great.

The Cons - The bridge

Unfortunately all the above means absolutely nothing because the bridge is terrible, at first the Floppy stings didn’t feel bad. It didn’t hinder my playing at all but the more I played on it, the bridge quickly got out of whack, the lack of tension on the strings and the buzzing.

I've spoken to the local geetar shop keep and he assured me that this so called Buzz stop will solve all my problems. Stop the buzz, give the stings tension……..his words to me is that it will play like a strat.

IF this is the case?.........this guitar will be awesome and something I will use in my rotation for years…….if there is no way to significantly altering the bridge then its fire wood.

Hope that helps?
