Let's find out. I have a Fishman on my Martin and it don't come anywhere close to being correct in it's tuning to begin with. That being said, I guess that your pickup actuall "picks up" the G string since you are able to tune it with your Boss? I have had so many acoustics (especially Ovations) where the pickup simply doesn't even pick up half of the strings. All kinds of reasons. Bottom of the saddle not being cut straight and the entire bottom of the saddle doesn't make contact with the pickup, leaving some of the strings unamplified. That was the very first thing that came to mind when you mentioned this. Just sounded like the area over the G string of the pickup had a hump in it and wasn't making contact with the pickup. But if you are able to tune it plugged into the Boss, then it's simply in the nasty tuner built into the Fishman. I sent my Martin back in for a split top and asked them to put a new Fishman in mine too simply because of the useless tuner and they didn't. If it's under warranty, send it back. Get a whole new guitar. It's defective and they have to honor it. Plus, ask for a spare G string just because they owe you one.

Out of curiosity, is it a t-bucket? Anyways, a "G" on the fishman tuner looks like a "6" They're really not too far off in appearance ;) It's obviously picking it up.

Carly is correct, the G does look exactly like a 6 on the Fishman. Did it not register at all even though the "6" was showing up? Not showing it being sharp or flat? Is it registering on the Fishman now that you have the new G string on, in tune with your Boss and so on?

Thanks thejake. Good luck with it. I don't find my fishman tuner terribly accurate anyways.

I'm just coming out of a 5 year hiatus, so now it's playing through bleeding fingers :) I played light rock and blues for the most part. I tend to prefer more of a clean sound, but I can get crunchy from time to time. Before my hiatus I played for 7 years.
