No reason you shouldn't. They are really nice guitars. But I'd rather have one in natural wood or sunburst than black or silver...At least they could have made them transparent finishes. The BT Jazzmaster has a sunburst, that looks better in person than in the pictures--not so yellow.

true but sometimes the guitar "calls you" in a store due to the way it looks...it's just one of the ways you search for the perfect one... heck if we always got what we wanted i would have never bought the vintage modified strat i'm using as my main

That's absolutely true. But when you play it, if it doesn't play the way you hope, you hang it back on the wall. And you may find something you didn't expect!
