Hey Fender Forums, I was hoping to get some advice.

I'm an amateur guitar player and a Jaguar enthusiast. A year ago I was hoping to buy a relatively good guitar and a Classic Player Jaguar Special HH popped up in my local guitar shop. I was instantly hooked and spent the rest of the summer doing custodial/IT work paying it off. Sadly, I am left-handed and have learned to play so. Since my chances of finding one left-handed was slim, I decided to convert it by flipping it, installing a new string nut, and spending quite a while getting the intonation issues worked out. Losing the high frets because of guitar's horn and looking unintentionally poseur-like are a consequence, but I love the guitar regardless.

Now I've come into a little more work, I was hoping to purchase a new Jaguar, particularly the American Vintage 62' offered through Fender's website, but the lefty accessibility problem remains. Could I custom order a lefty Jaguar without the price skyrocketing? Any other suggestions?

Since I am left handed myself, I know what you're talking about.
Sadly, Fender USA doesn't give a damn about left handed people... so forget about them.

You have 2 options:

1- I got my lefty Mustang 67 (original, not reissue) on eBay. It takes patience to find a good guitar on there.

2- I got my lefty Jaguar through a store in Japan. They are official Fender dealers, and they were great to communicate (by email) with, and I got my Jaguar delivered to California within 10days for a very decent price (less than $900)

Good luck with your search.

Import from Japan looks like your best option.
