I have a 1966/67 Fender Jaguar guitar, which appears to be all original, however, there is no serial number stamped on the neck butt, it has the 5 patent numbers on the headstock. It has the typical burn looking mark on the heal, and the round circle stamp, but I can not make out the number of the stamp, I've seen some with the number 3. It also has the extra hole as seen on the heel besisdes the four screw holes. Question, were there any Fender Jaguars made in which there were no serial numbers on the neck in 1966/67. At one time Fender penciled in the ser# 1962-ish, is it possible that Fender took a 62 neck off the shelf and placed it on this 66/67 guitar. The neck has the block inlays, and the binding.
Thanks, Chas

I don't think so.
