I have been looking around and all i seem to find are Jaguar's that are made overseas. When did the Jaguar stop being made in the USA?

The American Vintage '62 Jaguar is still listed on the Fender website:

http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0100900800

I suspect that at the AV price point Jags aren't big sellers so most dealers don't stock them. It doesn't mean that you can't get your dealer to order one. Also a couple of dealers still have some of the "Thin Skin" runs from 2009 left in stock - those have the CS-style thinner nitro finish and the 9.5" radius as well.

The Jaguar is still currently being made in the good 'ol USA. It is an American Vintage '62 and will set you back something like $1,800 new. :) For a few hundred more, you can buy a real, USA made vintage Jaguar from the 1970's. Or for around $3,000 to $3,500 you can buy a 1960's vintage Jaguar. The imports are not too cheap either, and I think $800 is way too much for a Mexican made Fender, regardless of how nice it is, due to the fact that you are getting in to the USA made price range for Strats and Teles. The Japanese Jaguars from the 1990's are awesome, but just as expensive (used) as the Mexican made current models.

Unless you find an old one or a special run you're out of luck. The current USA is only in sunburst, black and white.

Are you here in the USA? Wildwood Guitars in Colorado has a bunch of "Thin Skin" USA Jags for a reduced price in various colors - they have a bunch in Burgandy Mist, Aztec Gold and Shell Pink (plust one Candy Apple Red and one Lake Placid Blue) left. I think they are a couple of years old - maybe 2008s or 2009s. Of course that also means they are still at the 2008/2009 price. No affiliation but they do get a lot of special run Fenders.

Also no affiliation, but the guys at Wildwood have treated me very well over the years. They're currently showing no fewer than 27 AVRI thinskin Jags in CAR, Shell Pink, Aztec Gold, and LPB.

Surf Green? I suppose you could get one refinned...

Bear in mind that the Jag is a more complex beast than the Tele or Strat. Also, these are using using the same control circuitry parts as the USA jags. From what I understand, the necks are also made in California. My Classic Player Jag was set up perfectly from the factory and while still able to produce the "Classic" Jag sound, because of the larger neck radius, TOM bridge, and other minor changes, can play music styles that the AV Jag could not hope to play. From what I can tell, the only thing done in Mexico on these guitars is paint (flawless) and assembly. Body may be made there, but that is questionable. You would really need to contact someone at Fender as to which parts are made where. But the CTS pots are the same as the AV Jag and hardware is identical to the AV (with the exception of trem arm and bridge.)

Just sayin'

Good to know, Art. People who might be inclined to divide Jags and JMs into "Made in USA" and "not Made in USA" might consider the global nature of products nowadays.

Even Rickenbacker's "MADE IN USA" pickguard stickers are made in China!

I was pretty surprised. The setup on the Classic Player manufactured in Mex during August of 2010 was perfect. The finish is flawless and electronics are clean and quiet. I can't speak for the Blacktop Series. I have heard that the Classic Player HH Jaguar is pretty sweet as well. I need to try one. Problem is, I need to pay for my FCS American Vintage '62 Jaguar first.

The classic player is a sweet guitar. Also, due to the modern appointments, it does lend itself to much more than just surf music. And I was able to score a black hard shell case with Amp Logo, so I am happy. :D
