Personally, I like the Jag-Stang. It could use some serious fixing up, but that's why I put some Seymour Duncan pickups in mine

I like the looks alright, but mine REALLY lacks in the sound department! This is the most lifeless, dead, plinky sounding guitar I have ever owned. I only keep mine because I am a Nirvana fan, and because it is sort of rare to find one in great condition like mine. The strap button on the upper horn is in a terrible location, so if you sling the guitar low, the strap pops off, worse than on a stock Les Paul. The bridge wiggles around so when you use the tremolo, your tuning goes to crap! With a few tweaks the guitar would be decent, but stock they are an abomination......a Fender Freak-Show lol. Mod it, and whatever collector value it had will suffer. The pickups are the worst part of the guitar, they suck sooooo bad! :)

I can't see what there is to like about it,it was uglier than sin and on top of that the sound was unremarkable so it had no redeemable qualities.

It's not really my thing appearance wise, and the shape looks like it would be awkward to hold.
Besides I like my Mustang just fine.

Okay, as to the Jag-stang.

I would say if you like it and it helps you play better, then it's a great guitar for you.
I think I may have picked one up at some point, it didn't leave a lasting impression with me, so I guess it's not the guitar for me.

There is no wrong or right guitar for everyone, just the one that's right for you.

I love the Jag-Stang, I have currently came across one at one of my local shops and have put my money on it, I can't wait to get it. I don't think it's ugly, just unique in my opinion and also the pick-ups are not as bad as people say they are and the tuning stability isn't as bad as people make out. I played the guitar for 2 hours in the shop and it didn't once go out of tune and I did use the tremolo quite agressively and the pick ups were alot better than I thought they would be as it was the first time I played the guitar and I have heard horror stories about them. I fell in love with it as soon as I had it in my hands. I suppose that's my opinion on it, or maybe I found one of the great ones that made it through.

from what i hear this guitar is better off just for collection it is originally just a prototype of what kurt cobain's custom guitar was going to look like... i'm not sure but i think he was still working on it before he commited suicide they just left it that way cause they didn't know how to continue the project... it's more of a collectors item but i think it's a pretty cool guitar too i just find the upper horn a bit too much
