I have recently acquired a blacktop jazzmaster and have been having problems with bridge. I have heard that problems with the bridge can be solved by a buzzstop. However, I have also heard that the black top JM cannot be fitted with a buzzstop because it resembles the classic player more than the vintage and thus has a tremolo closer the bridge. Is this true? And if so, why does the distance between the trem and the bridge make a difference?

How is the buzzstop?

I am planning on getting it and wondering if it actually works
