Hey,

New to the forum. I'm not really a guitar person, I played a little when I was younger and just came across some stuff I had in storage. Including this guitar which I received for my birthday about 10 years ago. I was hoping that someone on here could give me a little information on its history and value??? All I know from what I could find on the internet is that it was made in Japan between 1984-1985. I appreciate the help!!!

Oh, forgot to mention....the serial number...SQ53216

Thanks!

Squier Bullet - there were several of these back in this era; you have the 2 humbucker version; there was a 1 humbucker version and a 3 single coil version in the somewhat Strat-style configuration (there were also 2 with a Tele-ish body, the basic version was like the original USA Bullet with a metal pickguard with a built-in bridge, the "deluxe" version had a plastic pickguard and separate bridge like the Strat-ish version). They were made in the USA in 1982, there were no 1983 models (or they simply kept using 1982 serial numbers) and they became the Squier Bullet line in 1984 and production moved to Japan. They eventually moved production to Korea sometime before the end of the 1980s.

Sorry, that's about all I can tell you on these; you might try some google searches since Wikipedia doesn't have much.
