Who are your top five picks for people/bands that should get their own signature models.

1. Lee Ranaldo and Thurston Moore - Sonic Youth
2. Mark Arm and Steve Turner - Mudhoney
3. David Byrne - Talking Heads
4. Patti Smith
5 Kurt Cobain - Nirvana ( because they don't make Jag-Stangs any more)

Trivia: All of these artists play mustangs!

I think Mudhoney are associated more with Univox and Gretsch than Fender to be honest, i also doubt there will be more Jazzmaster sigs coming out soon being as we have just had J Mascis and Elvis Costello models so thats Sonic Youth out.

Have you seen the japanese KC Jaguars? Thats a good Kurt sig guitar.

I know Mudhoney are not always connected with Fender but all the people I listed played Mustangs and I thought it would be cool to see some signature Mustangs, and as for the Kurt Cobain model I had never heard of it!

I agree. I also tried to think of someone worthy but no one springs to mind. :|

You should have made a poll for this.

That would have to be a Strat. Apparently his vintage Jag never goes on tour anymore.

I'm not a big fan of 'Signature' guitars. At the end of the day, I want a guitar that is purely all MINE. Doesn't anyone want a guitar anymore that is all theirs and nobody else's?
