Hey man wutsup im new to the fender website and yea i got me a star caster too, im not too good yet but im learning really fast, i can play tabs and some notes but yea well if anyone can help im trying to figure out what those pick looking things are for up by my name when i sign in but yea later

I got a Starcaster for Christmas. It's not the old Starcaster. It's the new learning guitar by Fender. It looks exactly like a Stratocaster. I'm just learning so I can't really say I play the guitar just yet but I will soon be taking lessons.

Does it come with a battery for the electronical part. I can't figure that part out.

i got one as well but me and my dad took it back and i got a squier telecaster instead. the starcaster did have a cool sound though but i fell in love with that tele

LOL I thought it did so I unscrewed the plastic off the back of the guitar to only find that the strings end there. So the answer is no. You have to connect it to the amp.
