There's been dozens of Fender related books out in the last few years. Here's an Amazon search for 'fender guitars', there is a lot to choose from: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_ ... tars&enc=1

Here is a Top 10 Fender book list if you want to narrow it down: http://www.squidoo.com/FenderGuitarBooks

Fender: The Golden Age 1946-1970 is a good one that just came out recently. Lots of cool pics of vintage Fenders. The Stratocaster Chronicles is great if you're into Strats.

Try this one out " The ultimate Fender Book" it includes a DVD of the author Dave Hunter and guest Carl Verheyen run thru strat/tele/ camp set ups.
The DVd is the best part, stellar playing yet this 272 page reference book chronicles the Fender guitars from 50's to today. 9.5 on a 1 thru 10 scale.

I looked into that Ultimate Fender Book, its too old it was printed 1 Feb 1999. There is another book Tony Day authored in 2007 about Fender guitars. Iam looking fcor a Fender guitar book printed after 2005 at least. Thanks for replying. 8)

Look again. "Pub. Date: September 2010" http://search.barnesandnoble.com/books/ ... 1435127791
I have this book and many of the others that I linked to in my post above (did you bother checking out those links?). You can't go wrong with any of them, but the DVD in the Ultimate Fender Book makes it really stand out.

Metropolis74,

Where are you located in Minnesota , as a kid my dad was in the Marines and we lived in Fort Snelling, I fondly remember many week-end camping trips.
