I've been looking at them on e-bay lately and they kind of interest me. What are the pro's and con's? To the guys and gals that own them how do you like them? Are they basswood bodies with maple veneer? Any info will be appreciated.

The '05 Frontline catalog lists the Showmaster Standard (010-4200) as having an "Alder body with carved top". No definitive info is given for the other models in the line, only that their tops are "flame, quilt, or spalted maple".

I own a 2005 Fender Showmaster QMT-HH Special Edition set neck and I love it. It is very unique among Fender guitars. Set neck, 24 frets, abalone inlays, 2 Duncan top of the line pickups, beautiful finish, locking tuners. Some very high end stuff on this very cool guitar. I also like the fact that it doesn't sound like a typical Fender Strat. I like it!!

Fender has released a 7-string version which lasted only 1 year. It came with a hardtail bridge and dual SD '59 Trembucker humbucking pickups. This guitar is surely a rare collectible masterpiece.
