I was looking at getting either the GDO200 or GDO300 acoustic, and cant decide which to buy. They are the exact same price, about the same shape, and same colors, the only difference is that the 300 has a maple top, and the 200 has an ash top. What is the differences in the two different woods? My local guitar shop doesn't carry fenders, and on any of the other acoustics in there, it doesn't say what material it is made of, so I have no idea whether I should go ash or maple. What is the pros/cons of each? Thanks

some people will try to argue that they have vastly different tonal qualities. with a solid-body guitar, this is true. but in the case of an acoustic guitar, it's really just a matter of personal taste as to which one looks better. unless you have an incredibly discerning ear, they'll both sound the same to you.
if it helps you any, maple is what is traditionally used to make violins.
