My first and only electric guitar is a Fender Starcaster, made in China, Serial number (not sure if the 'CXS' is part of it) CXS 060xxxxxx

On an Ultimate Guitar forum someone said that it is an early suire, before it was called a squire, that was made in China and some else told me that they had an acoustic Starcaster?!?

I have had a look online and havent been able to come to nay conclusion as to what branch of Fender it is. It was sold as part of a beginners set with amp etc so i know its nothing amazing, i think it is (if possible) the rung below the Squire? Does this exist or is it indeed an early Squire?

Thanks

startcaster is a brand of guitars owned by fender. they make electric and acoustic gutiars for beginers.

here is there website: http://www.fender.com/features/starcaster/

it is not a squier guitar, it is its own seperate branch, but i have heard people say certain squiers are made in the same factory as starcasters.

That's SQUIER not Squire.
Sorry, the constant misspelling of the name has really been bugging me lately for some reason.

starcaster is a different branch then Squier.

StarCaster is a begginer brand owned by fender. THe make cheap strat amp packs, cheap acoustic, bass and drum sets. The acoustic starcaster is a regular dreadnaught acoustic its not an acoustic in the shape of a strat

there are also starcaster pedals, i have a chorus pedal and its pretty good for the money
