If you own one of the '65 Reissue Mustangs, what are the pros and cons? Do you like it? Please let me know!

I just bought one last week. Wonderful weight. It has a very expressive, clear tone. The switches are unusual and fun. Beautiful tint on the neckwood. Contrary to the common complaint, the guitar stays in tune. The single coils are relatively quiet.

It's not a particularly powerful guitar. A CON for some, perhaps, but signals can always be raised with pedals and amps.

Great value. It's a gorgeous guitar. A curvy, bright, chromey Fender.

I want a mustang and i have been looking for some. The reissues are good but you can find a vintage one for about 1200. Ones with out original paint can be less. I would look on craigslist and ebay for vintage ones before. Kill two bird with one stone a vintage fender and a mustang

If the 65 reissues are anywhere near as good as my original 65 they would have to be great guitars as the 60s Mustangs sounded and played fabulous.

I spent some time playing one at a music store. It was fun to play and felt really good. I'd love to own one, but can't justify it at this point. If you wanted a Mustang, I would definitely recommed it. It seems like a real nice guitar.

surprisingly, ive read quite a few reviews saying the reissues are better than cbs era stangs  ... of course an original 65, i.e. pre cbs... i can only imagine how awesome those are... 8)

I had a 1965 Mustang, it was beat to hell so i repainted it (The correct sonic blue) and it played wonderfully.

I have picked up a couple of the reissues.........

Not the same.
